As in the previous edition of the Encounters, the inaugural insular concert will take place in Fajã da Fragueira, Francisco de Lacerda's birthplace. In this unique space, full of symbolism, and in harmony with the local community, we will hear a string trio formation, composed of some of the most talented Portuguese string instrumentalists, who will perform the rarely heard Francisco de Lacerda String Trio, followed by the Portuguese premiere of Zebra Crossing by Vasco Mendonça, and ending with the beautiful Serenade by Dohnányi, a pillar of the repertoire for this formation.
