The second moment of the cycle results from an invitation to the maestro Antero Ávila, native of Terceira Island, for a concert around the Three Fanfares of Francisco de Lacerda. The resulting programme is a stimulating display of Iberian music, which includes two works in world première, Piccola Suite by Sérgio Azevedo, and Continuum Variations by Antero Ávila himself, as well as inspired pages of brass music from the American Suite by Enrique Crespo, finished with excerpts from West Side Story, by Leonard Bernstein.

This quintet interprets various musical styles, from classical, to soundtracks, to jazz and also Portuguese music. The group currently consists of Paulo Borges (trumpet), André Nunes (trumpet), Edgar Marques (horn), Miguel Moutinho (trombone) and Antero Ávila (tuba). Former members: Roberto Rosa (trumpet).
