This trio, created especially for the occasion, will musically recreate a journey between Lisbon and the Azores which culminates in the birth of a child on the small island of Corvo. Based on music written by Ricardo Pinheiro (some of it composed especially for this recital), on two pieces by Francisco de Lacerda arranged for the purpose, as well as on memories of the guitarist's family accounts of this story in the early 1950s, the trio will use improvisation as a tool for musical dialogue and as a narrative agent to illustrate events and impressions of this transatlantic journey, thus making the experience lived during the journey, and the work of Francisco de Lacerda - namely his songs Canção Triste and Tenho Tantas Saudades - serve as a stimulus for musical creation.
