The Encontros return to Lisbon, to the National Library, for their closing concert, where the Francisco de Lacerda Foundação Millennium bcp Composer Award will be presented, followed by the world premiere of the winning work by the Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa, under the baton of Rita Castro Blanco. There will also be new adaptations for classical orchestra of fundamental works from Lacerda's orchestral repertoire, commissioned by the AFL from the composer Sérgio Azevedo, as well as works by Vincent d'Indy and Lopes-Graça.
